A longtime social justice activist in Louisville, Ky., Suzy Post is the last surviving plaintiff in the lawsuit that forced Louisville public schools to merge with surrounding areas to create a new, desegregated district known as the Jefferson County Public Schools. A mother of five children who attended public schools, she was the only white parent who signed onto the legal challenge.
