*Song information*
This song is a remix of 'Royals' by Lorde and made for Web 207. It focuses on the changing nature of television caused by digitisation and convergence, with emphasis on the effect online television has had on the previously delayed countries and what this has done to fandoms. Jenkins (2004) describes dedicated fans as 'Loyals', those who "watch series rather than episodes".

*Licensing and Fair Dealing*
Use of content from the song Royals is justified under the Australian Fair Dealing Act, under the provision of 'Parody/Satire' and 'Review/Critic'.
This version is licensed under an attribution- non commercial (BY-NC) Creative Commons license.

The lyrics of the song were created entirely by me, while based on Lorde's original song. They were informed by readings throughout the unit topics of 'Television' and 'Remix//Mashup//Copyright'.

[Verse 1]

I've never seen American shows on time
I go on Tumblr and find all the spoilers.
And I'm not proud of where I live,
In a lagging country, no live television.

[Chorus]

But every countries like GoT, The Office, Breaking Bad on TV,
The Walking Dead, Scrubs and Greys Anatomy.
We watch this on time, can communicate online.
But Australia's like spoilers, tyranny, we know whats next (Leaver, 2008),
Synergy, overflow and fandoms in delay (Gray; 2008; Jenkins, 2006),
We don't care; we're caught up in a TV love affair.

And we'll never be loyals (loyals).
Without online TV,
That kind of life just ain't for us.
We are separated by tyranny (Leaver, 2008).
Let me use your PC (PC),
You can call me obsessed.
And I'll watch, I'll watch, I'll watch, I'll watch.
Let me live that online TV.

[Verse 2]

My friends and I -- we've kept up with it all.
We spend so much time online (Gray, 2008).
And everyone who knows us knows that we don't pay,
We didn't come from money.

[Verse 3]
Ooh ooh oh
We're obsessed like we never dreamed,
And I'm in love with keeping up.
Ooh ooh oh
Life is great without a care
We're caught up in a TV love affair.

[Chorus]
And we'll never be loyals (loyals).
Without online TV,
That kind of life just ain't for us.
We are separated by tyranny (Leaver, 2008).
Let me use your PC (PC),
You can call me obsessed.
And I'll watch, I'll watch, I'll watch, I'll watch.
Let me live that online TV.
