"Copied" is a little strong dear. Although the band identifies as "Franco-American", pointing out two American television shows that do something similar is hardly evidence of copying or even that the members of the band are aware of their occurrence. Especially since there is a long history of people reenacting/parodying paintings outside of the American media.

Agreed! This is awesome any which way you look at it. Great art is littered with ‘stolen’ ideas. It’s all about what you bring to those ideas.

Oh and for the record, both Gilmore Girls (which was filmed in SoCal) and Arrested Development were referencing indirectly and directly (respectively) The Pageant of the Masters. Which is part of the Festival of the Arts held every summer in Laguna Beach.
