We hovered between immediate panic and disbelief in the reality of a Tsunami this morning. I got a call from my dad in North Carolina, warning me that an earthquake had happened and that a Tsunami was imminent.

"What time?"

"About 11am Hawaii Time."

"Great. It's 4am. I can get a couple more hours of sleep so that I can summon the energy to get properly panicked."

And when the sirens went off, we appropriately panicked and I made Emergency Peanut Butter sandwiches, packed my stuff and then we sat down to wait. And then...wait. And some more waiting.

The we said "Eff it, let's make daiquiris!" And so we did. We sat on the roof and waited for the 'big waves' to come in. This is the first video I've taken with this camera, and I know it's not great camera-handling, nor do I look particularly fabulous - but I had a great time!
