that´s a really amazing quality, achieved with a minimalistic equipment. Would You recommend FCP especially for post, or could You imagine, that it´s possible to do a similar work with Sony Vegas,(in my case)? (I´m no Mac-user, so I can´t use this Prores, You mentioned in the other example.)
Regards
Thanks for the complement, we had a great time working on the project.
A month ago I would have told you FCP is the way to go, I love editing on FCP 7/FCP Studio, it was the whole package. But now things have changed with the release of FCP X. It's a whole new program that's dramatically different from it's predecessor. The thing that made the documentary trailer was the lighting, having a great color grading application, and being able crop to 2:35:1 aspect ratio. I've never used Vegas so it's hard to make a comparison between Vegas & FCP 7 or X. Good luck!
