In November of 2005 the BMW plant in South Carolina began a 2 month production line overhaul, in which they were basically tearing out half of their line and refitting it to accommodate the production of the Z4, X5 and Roadster models. This was a massive undertaking. I was employed by Emulsion Arts and Director Joanne Hock to shoot time-lapse of the project. Armed with five 16mm film cameras equipped with intervalometers I spent 45 days and shot well over 20,000 feet of film.

Awesome final output Peter. Which NLE did you use and how much did you speed it up by? Pretty impressive camera/eqpt set up, did you edit daily? Very cool :)

Thanks Blender. Emulsiion Arts handled the edit, but I'm sure they used Final Cut. They didn't put it together until shooting was complete and we usually processed and transferred the film every 3 or 4 days. I shot many different intervals depending on how long I left the camera setup and what was happening in the frame, but with timelapse the more info that is there the better because you can always speed it up but you can't slow it down too much!
