Btw, The quick sunset time-lapse at the beginning I got from sitting on my roof. Its a steep and scary roof too, I was scared I'd fall through it into a bathtub and then through that floor straight to the basement.

Enjoy!

that's a good & fast way to do it !!!

nice job!... could you please tell me what the specific model number of your cavision rail system is... I've been looking to buy one myself... though there appears to be like 5 different model numbers, but they all look the same in the pictures!

Seriously impressive! But for those of us with far less skill, money, or time, here's an alternative.

GREAT! I had been toying with a Lego follow focus idea for awhile. This looks like a really solid design. Going to break into my 10-year-old, 70-lb. tub of Lego and try one myself now. Thanks!

That is well smart. Kudos. I've been looking at plastic gear systems for a fig rig based design I've been tinkering with and having little luck. Lego seems so obvious. Particularly as my sons have so much of the stuff and Bionicles too.

I'm planning on getting a Panasonic GF1 for street photography and filmmaking. For the filmmaking I hope to use my legacy Nikkor lenses through an adaptor. This Lego idea may well solve my focusing issues.

    You're a smart fellow.
