A great short superbly done! The tension within the story line along with camera work without a glitch. Good actors. Very believable and natural projection. Incredible twist within the story (I thought he was going to die but at the end I understood your intentions). Excellent soundtrack that compliments the film footage. I agree with Jan's comment regarding HD. In HD this would truly turn many heads. Congrats!

Hi Pierre uses a dolly panther and a changeable wedge in order that it was totally zenithal. Bye and thanks for the comment.

Nicely done. I liked the theme and the shooting of the film. It was great fun watching. Hate to say it but I figured out the end as I was watching it. Still it didn't detract from the film at all. Great job.

Excelente cuento.

  •
  • Very professional. Well executed tracking shots and lighting that yield that confined atmosphere. Believable performances of the actors. The end is more or less predictable, but it didn't really bother.
  •
  • Aled Parry 1 year ago
That was brilliant. The mood and atmosphere conjured up there, fantastic, dark and sinister, tension laden. Brilliant, then the twist at the end, unexpected to a certain extent (I say this as it was one plot which ran through my mind) but interesting. The sound as well, both music and effects compliment the story and the scenes perfectly. Thank you for creating such a lovely piece of work.

one of the better shorts i have seen! great job in connecting with the viewer. i was asking myself what i'd do if i was suddenly turned out into the world after being in prison for so long... probably rob the nearest bank, so i could go back to free room and board...

Hey, i loved the film. The message hits home in so many ways. From a spiritual stand point, this world is a prison. And after becoming so accustomed to its lifestyle of greed and selfishness, freedom in Christ becomes our worst fear. Humanity itself has lost its ability to humble themselves and put others first. Selflessness is the only characteristic that reflects God's true love... i particularly felt moved by the part when the "prisoner" attempted to strangle one of the very men who was trying to set him free; just think about how many times (when living out of the Spirit) we hurt those very people that only want to see us set free. AMAZING! Keep putting out films like this, and GOD BLESS YOU!

very good looking but for me very predictible. Usually I am a friend of open endings but this one was to much. I felt like there was something missing. It concentrated to much on the prision then on the charakter problems/conflict.

    que buena fotografía!
  •

Wonderful video! I just attended a panel discussion with Michael Eric Dyson, Stic.man and Kevin Powell, and MED used a phrase that really stuck with me about how prisons "castrate the future of men." This video really put more umpth to that statement. Nice work and the delivery was awesome!

Very well shot. Half the shots looked amazing, half the shots looked a little too video-y. Need to work a little more within the confines of video dynamic range and shot composition. The climax was projected to me about halfway through the film but it was still a great twist. The actual climax when he was released out of the front gate could have had a little more drama to it, more of a cliffhanger feel rather than just cutting to him walking through the gate, holding his bag. Overall, tremendous piece!
