Transcendental Study 3 "Paysage" (Landscape) as arranged and played by Ray Egea, for the first time on Guitar, is a demanding study. The melody is surrounded by widely spaced bass pedal notes. Its theme builds up and reaches an ecstatic climax.
I play "aplying weight on the string": the moment my finger touches the string, the weight of my finger is on the string, before plucking it, to get a fuller sound with a core.
This is similar to playing Violin, bowing with weight: transferring the weight of your arm into the bow: feeling like you hang on the bow with your arm.
Just plucking, without pressing on the string before playing, causes an empty and thin sound without core.
