Ariana is the story of a young girl whose rivalry with her best friend, Hayley, surfaces ahead of a school talent competition.

Arianna is a short film written by a student of Aultmore Park Primary School in Easterhouse, Glasgow. Nicole Grant (10) won a competition run by Vue Cinemas and was produced by Futuristfilm Ltd. in association with Production Attic in Glasgow. The competition was to create a story in six storyboards that reflected "Hollywood comes to Glasgow Fort". Nicole wrote the short storyboard, which was adapted into a short film by director Matthew Cowan and the team at Production Attic.

Because the story tells the singing rivalry between too best friends, the film had to be a musical. Based around such films as High School Musical and television shows like Glee, the music was very important and has been specially produced by Glasgow musician Kapil Seshasayee.
