Wow, she was sure surprised! It's awesome to see reactions like that. I like your transitions. That last scene is awesome! Buses and subways can be so awkward sometimes.

    chair train = cool.

also, i like how the couple never said anything to you on the train. they must have thot you were recording the movement behind them???
  • victoria 3 months ago
did you notice Blake's reflection in the window behind them? that takes guts to point a camera at someone like that... I usually try to be sneaky...

I like this Blake! I'm going to try one as well.
  • Blake Whitman 3 months ago
yeah, it was kinda awkward. But to be honest, my intent was to capture the crazy light thats were going by.

    thanks ladies!

That was a blast. I like videos like this - I never know what I'm going to run into next, you know? It could be a birthday, or strangers on Public Trans.

The first scene makes no sense to me, but it's kind of epic.
  • Blake Whitman 3 months ago
    its epically random.

  • Dear mr. whitman,

I think you are a beautiful person.
not in the superficial sense, though you are a handsome young gentleman, but in the insides and infinite feelings way.

thank you for existing and being who you are.

liked it alot. some smart edits. reveals so much about your own soul. the sound of your voice - hollow, your laugh, a healing vibration for your own body... and really endearing. loved the couple on the subway and your reflection... the music right there was genius. ty

an effect in FCP, with some keyframe tweaking.
  • Jon Rawlinson 2 months ago

If you have a large number of pitchers of margaritas in the same place maybe it becomes a vimeo of margaritas ?

well done blake. I wish I had time to document and post my life like this. did you get releases from that couple on the train?
  • Blake Whitman 2 months ago
What people? I was filming the lights ;)
  •
  • Adam Richard Jones 2 months ago
ah. spoken like a good producer.
funny, vimeo looks like some of the interactive agency atmospheres I nostalgically recall from the mid 90s. Smart young folks, vodka shots, fellowship, tomfoolery. what a nice place your vocation resides. give thanks.

I like the style of editing. I'm gonna have to do that with all my little clips that don't have a place for their own video.
  • Blake Whitman 2 months ago
you should, share it with me when you are done.

um. so you DID find a way to squeeze in my "i went to jail, and also i am going to hang my arm around my head like a monkey" vignette into something.

    should i be embarrassed?
  • Blake Whitman 2 months ago
    probably.
  • ryan brown 2 months ago
    ok, embarrassed.

"You are a snobby, classist, pseudo-hippie-ster" isn't the kind of vibe we promote here on Vimeo. But like I said, you are welcome to make broad, sweeping judgments about me based on what you see and read. Gotta love internet anonymity.
