You guys talk just too fast...
  • delacrew 2 months ago
    We know, we know... :)
We have a lot of things to say in only 3 minutes (the time limit in the contest).
    Next time, 6 minutes :)

I hope it will be as beautiful (or even better :)

    Very very nice work.

A whole lot of Pi in there I feel (especially the crazy computer pad - is that for real? It MUST be a set ... I hope it's a set!) Also the soundtrack is very Pi-esque: a nice nod.

The subtitling needs some tweaking, I would be glad to send you a revised version if it's of interest - or maybe there's a potential to do a complete english overdub (as it's a very fast paced dialogue, and I almost missed a lot of the lovely visuals trying to keep up with the interesting ideas.

    Whose ideas are they btw?

    keep 'em coming,

    jason
  • delacrew 2 months ago
    :D thanks a lot dude.

Yes, we can scape from the Pi influence, but anyway, it's nice if the comparision it's positive. We also produce drum&bass, so was easy do something related with Pi with no purpose of that :)

Yeah, please, we will be pleased to receive your suggestions about subtitles, you know, we're spanish, our english simply sucks :)

The ideas are original from an screenplay I wrote in one day.

    Thanks again for your comment!!

Indeed, even the music is from PI.
I would feel at the ending you could go with a little bit more of punch, it ends to fast compared to the rythm you use the video.

    I liked it!
  • delacrew 2 months ago
Hello Mayra, thanks a lot for your comment!
I think the next time we make a film we will really carefull to avoid comparisons We love Pi but we didn't on purpose!!! :)

About the end, we know, it's not a really puchy end... the idea was to reach a kind of end where the spectator could think about the main idea. but maybe next time :D

    thanks again!! :)

=) Perfecto, si llegan a necesitar alguna ayuda con la traducción yo puedo ayudarles, sé que al hacer un corto, video, etc, el tiempo es crucial.

Great piece, what gets me is how true the theme really is. Imagine, here in the US all cell phones are now required to have GPS trackers built in. Keep up the great work!
  • delacrew 2 months ago
Yeah , I know, the US situation it's not really good. In Europe one year ago you could buy a SIM card without having to give your name. Actually, if you buy a SIM card you have to write down your name in a form. Then, they know your phone, your name, who you call and things like that...

    "1984" it's so real!

Thanks a lot for your comment!

Great visuals Rez, and a valuable message. A 'like'.
Just asking, how did you the subbing? Pierre.
  • delacrew 2 months ago
    Thanks a lot Pierre!

I made the subtitles with the Premiere Titler :) i know it's not really pro, but... it was that I had at these moment :)

Nice polished interior shots. Well paced with a very pronounced rhythm.
  • delacrew 2 months ago
    Thank you very much Chistopher.
We found the interior locations in the Caixa Forum Foundation, in Barcelona.
Now you know it :) Good place to shoot if you are there.

    BravO! Tres bon!

Reminds me a bit of La Jetee.

I agree that companies that earn money from my information should compensate me, and all, for their use of it. And rather than asking me to "opt out" they should ask me to "opt in" first.
  • delacrew 2 months ago
yes!! they should do it... but we know we are in opposite sides in the same battle.

    Thanks mon ami!

I would like to see another film exploring your interpretation of who the "They" that seek to shape our lives truly is.

Is privacy and security ultimately worth placing on a pedestal if it means sacrificing community and simplicity? Not to say they aren't necessities, just wondering where you feel the balance lies.

    Well done film.
  • delacrew 2 months ago
You will see. Hope soon. We are workin on it ;)

There is no balance. They are watching you, so there's only one option. Fight for true liberty. Not only military operations whit this name ;) Social fight for our rights.

    Thanks a lot!
