GAP Community had a team that went to Zambia in June of 2014 and watched God pave a divine way in relationships and in meeting fundamental practical needs for the local people! In their time there, the team did the following:
Our medical team, Gail Moore, Kate Fahey and Stacey B Daniel treated 535 patients last week, about 50% with malaria, Garrett MacInnis and Leif Wagner worked on the well and Phase 1 of foundations for teacher housing, Victor Hoyos split his time between construction and praying for patients with Julia Vargas and Gracia Berrios played with the children, taught them songs and dances while Juan Nortje and I trained the women and the college-age youth in Chankosa.
Training in the outdoor classroom, working on the new building foundation, being with the people
Arrived in Kibwe late last night and spent all day in the bush community of Chankosa, where our driller struck water after 4 hrs and we have a water well that serves 12,000 people in the area!! The pump goes in tomorrow and we'll be back running med clinics, prayer teams, construction projects and trainings.
