THE ALBUM LEAF - There Is A Wind
--Official music video for The Album Leaf's song "There Is A Wind" from their new album A Chorus Of Storytellers.
--Shot on both the Canon Eos 7D and HV40. Edited with Sony Vegas
--I only had a moment to come up with a random concept and fly with it. We basically made it up from shot to shot, hehe. SUCH a great learning experience!! Thank you all who helped with this project! 95% of the actors and crew were strangers who just showed up and started...doing. hehe.

As always man, excellent! Editing was top notch. Just seeing those little touches, like similar framing between toy car cutting to real car, or sad vs happy lady, just make my day.
How'd you like working with the 7D?
Have to say as well, for strangers just showing up and "doing", they certainly gave you some wonderful material to work with!
(I must try to break free of the tyranny of my Tripod!) No sign of the dreaded 7d roller shutter...did you have any stabilization?
I could have lived without the toad shot but otherwise superb in all areas.
Well done, and great band as well. Are they friends of yours? Check out this band, friends of mine: myspace.com/wolfendaleband It reminds me a little of this band as well.
I am asking this out of curiosity and I'm concerning on shooting a short film on the 7D, but the focus issue is my main concern.
Thanks for your help.
Really excited that I'll finally get to see them live later this month :)
Once again and as always.... inspired....
Well done!
Well done!
The footage from the two different cameras worked VERY well together - congratulations on another compelling video! Paul
Keep up the good work.
Wooow... Your concept is TOO amazing. *shivered* at the very last part- the wheelchair, I had the idea but I didn't think that you'd still put it at the end. Like it a lotc:
Bravo Matthew
I recently bought the 550D t2i rebel. Think I will sell my old Canon HV30 so I can afford more stuff to my 550D. But it's cool to see you have mixed both HDV and DSLR. Did you convert your .MOV files with Neoscene for better workflow? Is it Sony Vegas you edit all in?
Best Regards / Kris
The editing was a few days to sort through the 15-20 hours of footage and organize it.
I did use Neoscene. It was the only thing to make the slow motion work. I edited everything in Sony Vegas. :)
Thanks for letting me be a part of this production! It was a great experience. I learned a lot about how to capture emotion. You guys did a great job at shooting all those handheld steady shots. Good work! And great way of story telling! I loved the outcome!
Did you get those photos by the way?
I did them them! Thank you! Thank you for joining us on the shoot! You'll have to hop on board again for future projects! Any word on whether you're going to AIS or not?
