Where does one go for a memorable meal with an old childhood friend? An artsy tapas restaurant, of course! From the decorative echoes of past visitors to the oh-so-tasty dishes that left me begging for more, La Pepita provided the perfect convergence for a spontaneous reunion between the Choo and Ng families. It was our first and their last night in Barcelona, so the evening provided each family with a beautiful start and finish to their experience. Notwithstanding the hospitality of Sofia, our exquisite hostess! She was the cherry on top. From her smiling bubbliness and enthusiasm to explain the cultural significance of the dishes we ate, I could tell that she truly loves to share her heritage with the local and international crowds that flock to her culinary home. We were touched when she gifted us a bottle of wine in return for the Malaysian ringgit we gave her as a token of our appreciation. All in all, a memorable meal that I will always recall with much fondness. I would love to return again!
