Just another sunny day in beautiful Amsterdam

Used my new Sony EX1. Shot everything at 60fps.

Edited in FCP.
Added some more contrast using MBL.

Thanks Dennis for capturing Amsterdam. I knew it was beautiful but never as much as you catpured it. Like the slow frame rates (60fps). Again nice job. It confirms my belief that Amsterdam shines....

Can never deny Beth Gibbons' tunes. You placed it even better against the everyday lifestyle Amsterdam portrays. The slo-mo vid fits perfect. Love it! Nice continuation on the boat & canal scenes edit. Btw what's MBL?

Just had a look at the specs of the EX1. I like this better than the HVX200 I've been eyeing on. What a machine!! Hope the prices of the next gen solid state cams will bellow in time. And prices of the SxS cards!!? Oh dear..
Was the footage shot with stock lens or did you have additional filters on em?

All footage was shot with the stocklens. I didn't use any filters or so.
The camera is great! I really love it. I agree that the prices of the SxS cars are high, but at the end of the summer Sony will be introducing the 32 gig cards, wich will probably mean that the cards will become a little bit cheaper.
And if you can wait... Sony already has the EX-3. Altough its not fore sale yet, Philip Bloom already tested it. One of the great features of this ex-3 is the additional hard-drive. vimeo.com/882030

Maybe a subtle orange filter would do a good job (one way colour corrector).

It was XDCAM EX. No AVCHD. Not exactly sure why it doesn't

Didn't use anything.
Everything is shot in 60fps. So playback at 25fps all shots are already slowed down 2.4 times while keeping all the image-information and so keeping the shots so smooth.

I have been to Amsterdam 2 times in the past 2 years and I must say that pictures or video simply can not capture the unique essence of this place, however this is a super video and for those of us who have been there understand and "feel" this clip alot more then others who have not. Great day all!!

Amsterdam is always very beautiful, however when the sun starts shining, something special happens and I just can't let my camera at home.

Very nice work indeed. The 60 fps looks pretty stunning. I love the shots of the people, particulary the couple sharing the drink, just a human moment perfectly captured. For me, the music didnt work, I found it oppressive and it gave me a headach but hey, I'm an old fart. Enjoyed the video very much

I kinda miss the chaos, which is Amsterdam as well, in this video. 3/4 if not all of the video implies Amsterdam is a beauitful, slow paced and silent city. But in reality it is not just that...
