  • Hi my name is Peter Pheap and i'm the unit director at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula in Redwood City, CA. I was wondering if at all possible if we could use your videos from the earthquake in Haiti for our music video. Our group of teens wrote a song for Haiti and would love to use some of your videos as b roll for their video. Here is the link to part of the video vimeo.com/10343298. I can also send you the full version of the song if you would like. My email is ppheap@bgcp.org. Thank you for your time!

    Nathan,

I came across this via Pete Brook's Prison Photography blog. I just wanted to say I appreciate your taking the time to share your experience and to put this piece together. I too believe it is a story that should be told.

Dear Nathan, My name is Martin Bernetti and I am a photo-journalist at Agence France Presse in Chile. A few months ago I started work on a personal project, making a non-commercial not-for-profit documentary that will be shown to students of photo-journalism. It is about photo-journalists and their experiences of covering different stories. It is divided into five chapters and I am now starting work on producing the fifth chapter, about coverage of the Haiti earthquake. I would like to know if you would be willing to work with me. If you are interested, please let me know. You would have to film yourself, answering some questions that I would send you. They would be about the girl who died called Fabianne. You would send me the video via FTP (2 minutes maximum). I also want to ask you if I can use some of the video images from your series about the Haiti earthquake that is on Vimeo. I would of course credit all the material to you. You can see the chapters of my documentary on Vimeo. It is called "Mirando a Todos Lados" (Looking All Ways). vimeo.com/user7612280/videos Thank you in advance for your help, Martin Bernetti
