I had the pleasure to join the great team of Project Nuevo Mundo in Guatemala. I filmed this for them a few months ago, talented women of Republic of Light edited it.

Building with the Mother is 1 of 3 sustainability projects with indigenous communities that The 2013 Earth Odyssey Caravan completed all around Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. After 2 months on the road through Mexico and Guatemala, Project Nuevo Mundo`s Earth Odyssey in collaboration with JUSTA and 22 permaculture specialists landed for 2 months in Guatemala to break off into 3 teams and complete 3 projects.
Building with the Mother:

Tony Scauzillo-Golden
Ruth Thomson
Ben Dwyer
A small demonstration learning center built with bottle bricks, bamboo, cob and other recycled materials was constructed in the small indigenous Mayan community of Santiago in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. The team of natural builders invited the whole community out, parents and children alike to participate and learn to build with earth!
