The waters surrounding Robinson Crusoe Island have always been the domain of the men, but have borne frustration and despair for the island's women. For generations, the ocean's boundaries isolated women, relegating them to traditional tasks on land.
Today, for the 256 women who call the island home, life is beginning to change.
