This is a Music Video I filmed of the solo Artist "Allred" for his song called "Parades". It was filmed on an HVX-200 with a 35mm adapter. Lens used was a Minolta F1.2 58mm. Feel free to ask questions.

looks good - beyond the obvious slow motion at the end, did you shoot in 24fps or did you do the music video trick where you record a sped up performance then slow down the video in post to match the pre-recorded studio track? Or I suppose you could under/overcrank the HVX. Anyway, it looks like it should!

Thanks Nate, Good observations! I sped up the music in FCP for each overcranked setting. So one for 26,30,32,36,48,60. I then put those on my ipod. I ended up filming the singing parts in 30fps with the song sped up 125% speed at that rate. The really slow mo stuff was 60fps overcranked and the last shot was 60fps overcranked and slowed down a bit in post. A great reference for overcranked formulas is here. Thanks for the comment!

nice music vid, it just seems like youre trying to find a focus sometimes.
Scott you can make your own adapter. check out hv20.com under the DIY section. you can find 99% of the parts on ebay.

Thanks! The problem with the focus is that Redrock sold me a warped peice of ground glass so when you shoot overcranked you can see it going in and out of focus very slightly. That is annoying but for this piece I think it gives it a bit of artistic flair. I will need to try and get a new GG from Redrock. I used DVX user to learn how to make my own.
