The Surf Swap is an outdoor community event where we invite people to buy, sale or trade a surfboard. This year's edition of the Surf Swap took place on Saturday June 7th from 1 pm to 9 pm, at Boutique Archive. Again this year, there was the largest selection of second hand surfboards ever gathered in Montreal. About 800 people came out to enjoy the sun, good food and cold beers. The Surf Swap aims at showing that the Montreal surfing community is alive and well, but it's mostly just an excuse to get great people together, have some cold ones and talk about cars, motorcycles, surfing and all things enjoyable in life.
The day ended beautifully with the Canadian premier of the Deus Ex Machina surf film, "I had to much too dream last night" which was projected on a huge 11 x 8 screen. By 10 pm, beer and food had been sold out, high fives were being thrown around and happiness was tangible. Thanks to everyone involved and we’ll see you next year!
