This is the first footage I took using my new Flip digital video (.avi) camera, a tiny device that fits in your pocket, uses two AA batteries, and plugs right into your computer's USB port for uploading, without requiring a driver. I bought the Flip to see if I could use it to, one, make some quick low-tech talking head essays and, two, do some practice shooting in preparation for creating a more complicated movie (with a story, characters, etc). The color is amazingly vibrant and the sound is quite good - Flip will pick up almost every bit of ambient noise. It also works well in low interior light, as you'll see in my next upload.
