Well done Ciaran and I really like your final conclusion, that road space needs to be reallocated. Sadly, in London and, in particular in Hackney, that has not taken place. A lot of the cycling developments have taken place on the footway and to the detriment of pedestrians, particularly vulnerable pedestrians.

An unpleasant new breed of cycle neo-Nazis is dominating transport policy and their attitude is that footways are underutilised so should become shared use and that pedestrians should play second fiddle to cyclists. It is a pity you didn't challenge Oliver Schite on that point.

Good luck with your work in Dublin but let's hope disabled pedestrians there don't suffer the same fate that has befallen those in Hackney.
