What started out as a final project for a medical genetics class evolved into an elaborate event that brought many together to celebrate with good company and great food.
University of Wisconsin-Madison senior Bryan Weinstein used his passion for gourmet cooking for an extensive class project and organized an AIDS Network benefit dinner Thursday night. The event was hosted at the Goodman Community Center and was run by a volunteer staff of Weinstein’s friends and fellow students. Executive chef and owner of Madison's distinguished L'Etoile restaurant, Tory Miller, also volunteered his time and talents in the kitchen to help create a community event for a good cause. Delectable canapés were served before an outstanding three-course meal made from some of the finest local ingredients in Wisconsin. Proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the AIDS Network.
