Aamer Trambu
Aamer Mansoor Trambu started reporting as a Press TV videojournalist for news and current affairs in Mumbai and South India. His news reports were watched by audiences in the Middle East and western Europe.
He is a Kashmiri and Muslim and was born and brought up in Saudi Arabia.
He can speak English, French and Hindi fluently, loves talking in Urdu and Kashmiri to natives. He admires most his ability to pull off conversations in classical Arabic.
Aamer loves India and is currently starting his MBA in Journalism at the University of Missouri, Columbia - Crosby MBA program.
Before getting into journalism, Aamer worked as a primary school teacher, a PR executive, a Communication skills trainer, an Online Advertising Salesman, a fundraiser for orphans, a host for an internet based news show and ran marathons for charity.
Aamer Trambu and his assistant Mikhail D'Souza were the first international TV crew to report on the plight of India's internal refugees in Khammam, Andhra Pradesh. In his 5 minute report, uploaded on Vimeo, he tried to throw light on the sorry state of more than 20,000 Internally Displaced Persons from Maoist conflict zones in Chattisgarh.
