I have recently graduated from Bournemouth University with a 2:1 degree in Computer Animation Arts. The position I am seeking is Modeller/Texture Artist. I have a versatile artistic style with a passion for character and environment design. I intend to work in the industry as I feel it is now at its most exciting stage in the history of film and games and the only limit is our imagination. I have a considerable knowledge of modelling in Maya, texturing in Photoshop and sculpting in zBrush. In my final year I wrote and directed an animation titled The Moon, The Monk and the Stolen Sun. I was also art director, storyboard artist and character/environment designer. One of my great interests is the human anatomy and I have excellent life drawing skills. My influences cover the whole spectrum of art, from Caravaggio and Hopper to Frazetta and Moebius.
Games have always been a big part of my life, since the Commodore 64, right up to the PS3 and the Xbox. I have always been interested in the design of games as well as what makes great gameplay. I am most interested in the way that games instantly project you into another world, the design, the characters and the worlds they inhabit, the sound effects, lighting, atmospherics and all the little details, which make the gaming experience more realistic.
Every project I am involved in is approached with a hard but enjoyable work ethic. I am creative and imaginative and inspired by creative people. I have great communication skills and I am very capable of meeting deadlines in a demanding work environment.
