(b. 1985), Abhishek didn’t get hooked on to photography after picking up his dad’s camera when he was eight. Neither was he the technical genius who always knew what aperture to use by just sticking his hand out in the light. But since childhood he has been convinced and even obsessed with the power of images and how it can change our world. After doing his graduation in Mass Communications from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata, he started his professional career in photography keeping a focus on humanitarian and social issues. Having worked in photojournalism, documentary, travel and editorial photography, his work has been published and exhibited in various national and international arenas. Additionally, he is also presently serving as the Head Of Photography in India’s largest wedding photojournalism company, StudioRed.
