I currently am pursuing jobs and work within the news media because of my past work in films these past three years.

Before college, I worked as a technician at a local computer store. This is where I learned the first steps in my journey in computers. Furthermore, as an anthropology major at Longwood University, I attained a wealth of knowledge not only in anthropology but interpersonal, leadership, good critical thinking, and problem solving skills. I quickly found myself helping my fellow residents with their computer problems. The problems ranged from fixing printers, to repairing virus infections, to formatting hard drives, to networking their computers. Furthermore, I became a Resident Technology Associate where I received further training to perfect my abilities in order to analyze and solve any problem.

After graduation from Longwood College in May of 2002, I repaired computers part time for various individuals in Fredericksburg, Richmond, Roanoke, Williamsburg, and Central Virginia. Moreover, I served full time as the Computer Systems Support Technician for the Williamsburg Environmental Group and the Network Administrator for Cultural Resources Incorporated wherein gaining experience in server setup and administration as well as routine maintenance and repair. For Engineering Consulting Services along with being a field archaeologist, I have consulted and worked as an onsite help desk support. Afterwards, for two years, I worked part time on the computer services desk at Circuit City as a computer technician for Firedog. For Capital One, I worked full time for a year in the PC on the Run helpdesk in Richmond, Virginia.

Recently, I was the webmaster and desktop support technician for the Folk Studies department at Western Kentucky University where I am finishing my graduate degree with a master’s in Folk Studies. Since finishing my masters, I have been working doing computer repair for various clients in the area.
