AIGA New Orleans
Joined October 2008
As the professional association for design, AIGA New Orleans' mission is to advance designing as a professional craft, strategic tool and vital cultural force. It is the forum for design professionals to exchange ideas and information, to participate in critical analysis and research and to advance education and ethical practices. Nationally, AIGA promotes design in economic, social, political, cultural and creative contexts.
AIGA’s initiatives in New Orleans range from supporting displaced designers after Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Gustav to documenting the history of graphic design in South Louisiana. A major goal is to raise awareness of the intrinsic value of good, thoughtful design in our community. AIGA New Orleans seeks to become a resource for all creative people in the community who are looking to participate in meaningful work.
