Alan Baxter is a filmmaker who lives in West Village in NYC. He started making independent films back in the late 1970's. Then in the nineties he formed AB Film Productions, which helped to mount many independent features, especially "Barriers" which he personally directed.
From 2006 on he has devoted a lot of his creative energy to writing poetry, which have been published in a number of books, especially the first one "Shall we have Magic?". He recently wrote a play called "Juan and Emmet" which had it's debut in a small off-off Broadway Theatre in Times Square, New York. For many years he also hosted a known poetry and fine arts venue called Kairos Poetry Cafe.
