Albena Baeva
I use play‐like elements to draw audiences into my works. In these works, communication between audience and art‐work, between performers, music and visuals is at the centre. To me contemporary art is by definition interactive.
I received my MA in Digital Arts at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2010 and has since presented a number of projects. I'm the founder of the Runabout project, an ongoing series of cross‐disciplinary, interactive performances with an ever‐changing lineup. Working with different musicians and artists, I design new musical instruments using custom hardware and software.
