Since 2005, Reto Wettach is setting up Germany’s first MA / BA course for Interaction Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam. He is also heading the research lab Interaction Design Lab IDL. Before joining the University in Potsdam, Reto was an associate professor at the Interaction Design Institute in Ivrea. Previously to that, he worked as designer and researcher at Sony in Tokyo and at IDEO in San Francisco.
Reto Wettach is also a stone mason, writer and designer.

The Fall Summit 2009 was held at Umeå Institute of Design from November 6–8. The speakers were (in order of appearance): André Knörig, German Leon, David Rose, Reto Wettach, Jan-Christof Zoels, Karsten Schmidt and Clive van Heerden.
Umeå Institute of Design, located in the city of Umeå in Northern Sweden, hosts summits twice a year—in the Spring and in the Fall—and invites leading thinkers and doers in the interaction design field.
