Seymour Papert, the creator of LOGO programming and the Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT, famously suggested that education should be 'hard fun'. Apparently, the staff at P17X in the Bronx took him at his word.
Although challenged with learning, emotional, social and behavioral issues, none of the students exhibit any learning difficulties in the robotics class. The process of programming, and the feedback of a robot well crafted, is enough to level the learning field. Besides, they are having a blast!
