IndTech stands for "Independence through Technology". It is a unique program in the New York City Public Schools (District 75). IndTech is staffed by special needs students who create adaptive products for other special needs students. The products they create are designed by a Research and Development team made up of working Industrial Arts teachers. They are guided by Rich Conti, a former Industrial Arts teacher, who oversees the production and distribution of devices as well as acting as an itinerant craftsman designing solutions for children with physical disabilities.
