Steve Bratt, Stephane Boyera and George Sadowsky visit Ougadougou, Burkina Faso and points north (Dori, Kaya, Kongoussi and a small village 10km west of Kongoussi). The spoke with farmers with special knowledge on how to grow trees in the desert, and with farm extension agents. They had excellent meetings with agriculture and information technology experts in Burkina and surrounding countries at the Web Foundation's Workdshop on Mobile Web for Rural Development. Partners in the Web-alliance for Re-greening Africa (W4RA) from VU University - Amsterdam and the Africa Re-greening Initiative worked together with the Foundation to plan the future of the W4RA project.
