It’s not often you’ll hear the words “croquet” and “adrenalin” used in the same sentence.
But that’s how octogenarian Nan Hopkins describes her passion for the sport she plays at Muswellbrook Croquet Club.
And it’s passion that comes across in this story, filmed by community participant Rod Dillon, and edited by ABC Open.
"I do love the game and I do love the company," says Nan. "I love thinking it’s croquet day today, and I do enjoy it.
Nan says the 'adrenlin rush' comes when you get your ball through the hoop, but there's also a mental aspect to the game.
"It is a very cut throat game," says Nan, "we’re all trying to out play each other."
If you know someone who is 110% passionate about sport, and you’d like to make a video about that person for the ABC, then we’d like to hear from you.
