What does it take to restore and protect one of America's greatest national treasures? If you're talking about the Chesapeake Bay, that's a really big question. So we asked our partners in the Chesapeake Bay Program, which has led the way in Bay restoration the past three decades, to show us how it's done. From using advanced science and technology to explore our environment, to creating positive community action throughout the 64,000 square mile watershed, it takes a lot of really smart people working together toward a single goal: to protect our land and water and restore the Chesapeake Bay. Watch this video to learn more about the Bay Program's work to collect scientific data, restore vital habitats, monitor iconic fisheries and study our environmental impacts, while sharing information and connecting communities with rivers and streams.
