In conjunction with The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the MoCP hosted a discussion on political, economic, and humanitarian issues related to the border between the United States and Mexico with exhibiting artist Simon Norfolk and scholar Dr. David A. Shirk, director of the Trans-Border Institute and assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of San Diego. Shirk conducts research on Mexican politics, U.S.-Mexican relations, and a variety of policy issues along the U.S.-Mexican border. He is the author of Mexico’s New Politics: The PAN and Democratic Change and co-editor of Reforming the Administration of Justice in Mexico.
