Month in Focus showcases some of MSF's work around the world. In July, we are at the severely overcrowded Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya, as drought and violence in Somalia led hundreds of thousands of Somalis to flee.
We return to Misrata, Libya, where the victims of the recent conflict are not only the war-wounded; women, children and people with chronic conditions have been sidelined by the overwhelmed healthcare system.
In Shousha camp, Tunisia, MSF is providing medical and psychological care to Sub-Saharan refugees who escaped the Libyan conflict. Poverty and lack of stability in their countries of origin prevent them from returning home.
We visit Jordan where MSF offers specialised care to victims of the war in Iraq and other marginalised minorities like Yemenis and Palestinians.
Then, we join MSF in the newly independent South Sudan, where major challenges lie ahead of the new government as the country desperately lacks healthcare infrastructure and skilled health workers.
Finally, we go Colombia, where MSF is filling the gaps in healthcare by treating drug-resistant TB patients.
