Public Policy: Federal Affairs
The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the voice of Kansas City Business since 1887, represents more than 7,000 businesses with a two-state regional workforce of over 300,000.
The Chamber believes this is a critical time for the Missouri and Kansas legislatures and congressional delegations to advocate for strategic long-term opportunities in areas in which our two-state region can lead, including the biosciences, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and to support measures that prepare our regional infrastructure and workforce to support job growth today and in the future.
We further believe it is imperative that our two states and Congress balance critical budget reduction measures with strategic policy support for initiatives that will propel economic recovery and help position the Kansas City region for economic leadership and competitiveness.
