Luoyang is located in the west of Henan Province (Central of China).
This city was the capital of China for 9 dynasties. But during the Tang Dynasty (with Xi'an as the capital), Luoyang became the "home of peonies".
Luoyang Peony Festival is very popular among Chinese tourists and peony enthusiasts the world over. Each year from mid-April to mid-May, hundreds of species of peonies are in full bloom. During the peony fair, gardens are full with colorful flowers.
