Back in 2002 I decided to make 3 short films, set on the Eastern Front about a German soldier who, at the end of each film gets killed. The Many Deaths of Brieftaubermeister Bann. Yes, I know.
Its safe to say that in 2002 I didn't have a clue about compositing or film making in any shape or form. In fact I had no idea of what a matte was used for. I thought all my CG layers had to be made against green backgrounds! I certainly didn't know how to rig and animate a character let alone properly build a high res one.
So this is pretty dire. Most of this movie never got passed animatic. Butn at least I did everything you see and I learnt a lot from it which is the most importnat thing.
