Another project I did for uni. I wanted to create a cubist effect aesthetic for this experiment, exploring notions of human connection through movement and disembodiment. Although on the surface, the dance appears to be about connection the two figures appear alienated in darkness: fragmented, reaching out for each other and never touching. However the two dancers could be seen as impressions of each other or even two dual halves of the same identity. The progression of the piece goes from the figures isolated to gradually occupying the same frames momentarily before fading again into darkness. This kind of symbolic association of identity I believe is similar to Carl Jung's theory of the Anima and Animus.
But really, it's up to you to make your own interpretation.
