This film documents the conservation and restoration work carried out by the Byzantine Institute at Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey. It illustrates the following scenes or subjects in the South Gallery: close-up details of Constantine IX and Zoe with Christ enthroned; John and Irene with Virgin enthroned with Christ child and Alexios; and the Deesis.
