After a day of shooting at Europoort I chased the sun trying to catch the last bit of light down at the beach in Kijkduin.
There I ran into two little Jazz groups who where playing the last songs. It was 10 at night, the sun was gone.
Two slight problems: the rod setup was tiny and made for tripod use and while unpacking I smudged the viewfinder lens with a bit of hamburger sauce. I did not notice this until I started shooting. But any selfrespecting camera rambo can do without this sissy viewfinder thing right?
Besides the battery was already empty when I started, so stopping now to clean would mean missing one of the last songs played and run out of battery completely.
This is why the song stops at a weird place: the battery ran out.
Anyway, just for fun straight out of the camera, shot with my soon to be retired DVX100A and the Letus Extreme. Lens used: Nikkor 55mm Micro F1.2.
As a little experiment I upressed this to 720P with Apples ProRes 422, but unless you then upload a 320MB H.264 master, it has to be turned into a WMV anyway. By the way I found the WMV format to be much better then H.264 for smaller files. A H.264 with similar settings is 66MB instead of 54 and is less quality.
