This feature is a departure (pun intentional)! It isn't a "street corner history", and doesn't follow my typical practice of starting with a contemporary scene, and then gradually peeling off the years until we end in as distant a past as photographic technology will allow. This episode is a brief photographic history of the men and women who were early flight pioneers, some of the contraptions they risked their necks in, and some of the early views they would have seen from above the Greater Vancouver area. If you are curious (as I was) about who were "The Flying Seven" (they appear midway through the video), the following link is a good place to begin: bcaviation.com/flying7s.htm
