We first welcomed Mumford & Sons to Blue Flowers back in early 2008 as they supported Noah and the Whale. After a rousing debut performance, the band came back later that year to headline an epic night which also saw the likes of Laura Marling, Jamie T and Noah & The Whale perform live.
A year on, after another sell out show with Blue Flowers, this time in the bright lights of New York City, Mumford & Sons have achieved the recognition that everyone at the George IV thought was totally deserved. Debut album Sigh No More remained in the UK album charts top ten for many months, and the band sold out shows internationally.
In-between shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire, we caught up with the band for a special acoustic performance at the Shepherds Bush Village Hall.
