Before airplanes became the primary means of long-distance travel in the United States, people relied mainly on the countries railroads and interstate buses. This project focuses on America's inter-city buses and their routes, which continue to provide access to nearly every part of the country. This ongoing project is both a survey of America's landscape and people, as well as a personal document of my own travels.

Brendon Stuart is an independent documentary and fine art photographer. Originating from northern California and born in 1976, he initially came from a background in illustration and music before discovering his passion for photography. His photographic interests include transition, the relationship between fact and fiction, and the idea of the “American Dream”.

In 2008 he graduated from the full time certificate program at the International Center of Photography in New York focusing on Photojournalism and Documentary. During that time he was a recipient of an ICP Directors Scholarship. He has worked with Sombra Projects, the W. Eugene Smith Fund, the International Center of Photography, Blue Ribbon, Nuru Project, and the 25CPW gallery. He has also produced video and multimedia projects for the World genesis Foundation no-profit organization.

After the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan in March of 2011, Brendon collaborated with Nuru Project, and Sombra Projects to organize the "WA" photography fundraiser and silent auction raising money to benefit Architecture For Humanity and it's efforts rebuilding in the largely devastated province of Sendai.

In 2012, he again collaborated with Sombra Projects in designing a tent comprised of his images of “Occupy Wall St.” as a means to display the imagery within a different platform to experience and open new dialogues on the subject matter. It has been displayed in numerous protests and exhibitions worldwide. He continues to be internationally exhibited and published and is currently based in Brooklyn NY.
