Igor was born in a quaint Polish village named Ruciane-Nida surrounded by gorgeous lakes and forests. His obsession with cooking was apparent at an early age while he was already attempting to make meals out of anything he could get his hands on while playing in his sandbox. It seemed that he was destined to become a chef had it not been for his discovery of liquor. Igor explored that world while living in Poland, but really began learning mixology while living in New York City. Igor loved open-mindedness in experimental cocktails. He was able to translate his love for cooking into mixology. Of course, it was not about putting chicken in a martini; it was about creativity, and the mystery of combining the ingredients.
His passion that started back in those days in the sanbox grew along with knowledge and Igor speedily went from pouring drinks to managing bars due to his dedication and devotion to his work. Igor concocted an eclectic drink recipes at downtown Manhattan's Lola Restaurant. Some of these famed recipes were featured in the food and dinning section of the Daily News in December of 2008. The article praised Igor's "Christmas Tree", "The Big Cinnapple" and "Decembeer" cocktails.
