Valerie Edwards is a filmmaker currently studying at Los Angeles City College’s Department of Cinema and Television. She has studied acting and directing with Judith Weston, Mark Travis, Gil Bettman and Guy Magar. A classical musician, Valerie served as principal oboist with the New Japan Philharmonic (Tokyo, Japan) from 1981-1983, and was a member of the Boston Pops Orchestra under conductor John Williams from 1984 – 1994. She holds a Master's degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has been a professional urban planner since 1995.
